About the Creator of RubyShuze.com
Let me begin by saying that I am exactly the same as any of you out there looking for answers. All of our stories have some commonalities. Perhaps kid-hood was not ideal, perhaps we grew up with strong religious or cultural influences that felt oppressive in some way, perhaps our parents were more interested in encouraging us to fit into society by doing what’s “right” or “expected” over being true to ourselves. Perhaps we were influenced to defer our passions and desires for something more practical, reasonable or proper. For better or worse it was the jumping off point.
In my late twenties, like many of you, I began to question a lot of what I was expected to “buy into” from my family, my religion, society as a whole, popular culture and the media. I began the process of determining for myself what made sense for me and how I wanted to live in the world. I was no longer comfortable just following along and living the status quo.
Over the next 25 years I explored all kinds of ideas and teachings and tested all sorts of theories by incorporating the ideas into my life. What I discovered was that there is a common thread that runs through all of the traditional (and non-traditional) faiths that acknowledge our own divinity and our spiritual connectedness to something far greater than each of us is on our own.
In my search for how I could deepen that connectedness I became influenced to pay attention to the clues my inner being was offering me through my emotions. I also began learning the value of focusing on the wanted instead of the unwanted. As I got better at directing my energy towards my goals and desires my whole life began to shift. Oh there’s still places I get stuck in old thinking but this new awareness doesn’t allow me to linger there long. The more I practice listening, the louder the clues get and they lead me right to where I want to go.
And what is the affect of this new awareness?
- I am happier than I have ever been
- I have a much stronger sense of myself
- I spend my days as I wish and I have a profound passion for my work
- I no longer have any worries over money
- I am healthy, strong and getting better each year.
- I am surrounded by great love and have drawn a mate that has me doubled over in laughter most days and supports me in ways I hardly dreamed possible (but wished for all the same)
And none of that was true just three short years ago. Was it worth the effort? Oh you bet it was!
Here’s what I have come to believe for myself;
- Life is suppose to be FUN and it is only our disconnection from who we truly are that creates opportunity for pain and suffering.
- We are spiritual beings in a physical form.
- We are remarkably unique and individual in our Human Bodies and spectacularly similar as our Spiritual Beings.
- We have within us all of the solutions we will ever need to all of the questions and desires we will ever have.
- We can create the life we want simply and effortlessly when we learn to hear the subtle clues most of us have trained ourselves to ignore.
- A spiritual path doesn’t have to be lonely, austere, pious, quiet, serious or boring – instead it can be whatever we wish it to be – vital, strong, and energetic and filled with joy and laughter!
Learning to hear my inner self, learning to tune-in to my own inner guidance and learning to articulate what I want for myself has transformed my life. And when your life is overflowing it’s hard not to want to share that abundance with everyone you encounter. So it is with that intention that I offer RubyShuze.
With great expectations,
